The Canby Process
According to the CFP Board of Standards, financial planning includes retirement planning, education savings planning, taxes, estate planning, insurance, and investments. To our clients, financial planning means working together to help align these areas of concern, so they are pointed in the right direction, that is, toward their goals. Through our financial planning process, we help families and individuals address the questions and concerns they have about their money. Our process works like this:
- In our first meeting, we will learn about you, your current situation, and the type of help you are seeking.
- By the end of this first meeting, we will mutually determine whether or not we are a good fit for each other.
- If you choose to hire us, we will work to answer your specific questions and prepare your unique financial plan that we will review with you in our next meeting. We will develop the plan based on your financial objectives, tolerance for risk, age, current net worth, and other factors. You will be billed an agreed-upon fee for this work.
You then decide how you want to implement your plan. We hope you will decide to work with Canby Financial Advisors as your long-term partner, but you can take your independent plan and manage it yourself, work with another advisor, or hold tight.
